Don't dress in Sandals or flip flops in your office. And also don't wear an unbuttoned shirt or an untucked shirt. Wear a well-ironed and buttoned shirt that matches your skin tone. If you want cheap but good quality shirts check out the market. YOu can buy shirts from 40$ - 10000$ onwards. But I have a set of 240$ shirts (12 sets) I bought for 200 each and I have been wearing them for around 2 years. I bought them from a warehouse sale. And they are still in mint condition. That is because I take good care of them I don't use harsh detergent or bleach, I don't wash them with other clothes.

Don't dress shabbily to the office place.
When you achieve the Mark Zuckerberg status you can dress like him. Until that dress like a gentleman.
Under-promise and over-deliver.
If you can do a task in 3 days, Commit 4 days. Its always good to keep a buffer to account for any unforeseen circumstances. But when you deliver the task in three days it will be good for your career and can earn the title “ Fast Worker”
Be on Time
This is a strict rule that I followIf you say that you will be by 0900H be there by 0855H. 0901H is late. And lateness means you have failed to plan. As you know failing to plan is planning to fail.
Mind your language.
In an office environment don’t use offensive words or swear words in public. Among your colleagues or next cubicle neighbours its okay to have a little slang but don't use it on a mass scale. Always be friendly and speak in a well-mannered way. What you use can and will be used against you in a court of corporate.
Whenever possible lend a helping hand
A helping hand goes a long way in the office. You can be a friend and also appear as a know-it-all. So be careful
Don't be a kiss-ass
Your boss is your boss. That doesn't mean you have to go kiss his ass to get something done. It's okay to befriend him and act accordingly but don't be a kiss ass in open public where everyone can see. Also, don't be a yes-man. Always think from your head and answer.
Learn to say no.
No is a strong word. You can mean different things by saying them in different ways. Learn the proper way to say no. It will be useful
Keep your desk tidy.
It okay to have a picture or two a plant and a toy, But cluttering your desk with all the junk is a bad habit to have in an office., It will reflect badly on you.
The office is an office and Home is home.
Unless it is imperative don't bring your office work home. Your home is a place where you have to work on yourself and care for yourself. Maybe care for the family. Unless it is importantdon't bring office work home.
Don’t s**t where you eat.
Unless it is necessary or unless you are 100% sure about it avoid workplace romantic involvement. Your workplace will become your hell if something bad happens during the breakup.
